According to preliminary figures from the Immigration Service Agency of Japan, the number of Japanese overseas travelers in July 2026 accounted for 1,191,298 -1.2% compared to July 2025.

Looking at the number of Japanese departures in July 2026 by country/region, South Korea had 330,385, the United States had 166,902, and Taiwan had 80,557.

The number of international departures by airport in July 2026 was 401,027 for Haneda, 370,572 for Narita, and 226,731 for Kansai.
