According to preliminary figures from the Immigration Service Agency of Japan, the number of Japanese overseas travelers in June 2026 accounted for 1,090,183 +3.4% compared to June 2025, and -28.3% compared to 2019.

Looking at the number of Japanese departures in June 2026 by country/region, South Korea had 348,216, the United States had 149,200, and Taiwan had 96,668.

The number of international departures by airport in June 2026 was 368,409 for Haneda, 320,148 for Narita, and 205,817 for Kansai.
