As part of its regional revitalization initiatives, JTB Corporation has compiled the results of the “JTB Regional Power Index 2023,” a survey that assessed the image and visitor satisfaction levels of 240 regions across Japan and compiled them into an index.
Results of the "JTB Regional Power Index 2023" Survey
The "JTB Regional Power Index" aims to reveal the image and satisfaction levels of specific tourist destinations, as well as the gap in perceptions between visitors and residents. By doing so, it seeks to provide a deeper understanding of each region’s unique appeal and challenges—aspects that cannot be fully captured by municipal-level data alone—and to contribute to regional revitalization.(Our company is responsible for the research and analysis in this report.)
