This article examines the relationship between mixed-use facilities, such as shopping centers, and the “MICE” sector—which has been gaining attention in recent years—from the perspective of MICE participants’ spending. After gaining experience working at hotels in Tokyo and in the international travel industry, he joined ICS Kikaku Co., Ltd. (now JTB Communication Design) in 1994.
